Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data SalaryCheckcollects, how we use it, and your choices. We're a small independent team and we keep data handling as simple as possible: no accounts, minimal data, short retention.

What we collect

• Content you submit. The text or files you paste or upload for analysis. Used once to produce your report, then deleted within 7 days.
• Payment information. Processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep the Stripe session ID and amount charged.
• Basic analytics. Pageviews, referrer, UTM parameters, rough IP-derived country, and tool-usage events — used to understand traffic and improve the product.

What we do not collect

• We do not require an account, email, or password.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use your submitted content to train AI models.

Sub-processors

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Third-party AI provider — model inference for your analysis. Our provider does not retain inputs for training under their enterprise API terms.
• Vercel — hosting and request logs.

Data sent to our AI provider for processing

The text and documents you submit for analysis are sent to our third-party AI provider's API in order to generate your report. The AI provider processes that data under its own privacy policy and, per its API terms, does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models. We do not use your submitted content to train any AI models either. Your content is transmitted over TLS and is not shared with any other third party.

Data retention

• Pending inputs (content queued for analysis) are deleted within 1 hour of the analysis completing.
• Analysis output and metadata(your report and the Stripe session it's tied to) are retained for up to 2 years, matching Stripe's default retention for the payment record, after which they are deleted.
• Payment records are retained by Stripe according to their policies and applicable tax/accounting law.
• Server logs(Vercel request logs) are retained per Vercel's defaults, typically 30 days.

Your rights

You can request deletion of any data tied to your Stripe session by emailing us with the session ID. Because we don't collect accounts, most data is already anonymous.

EU / UK (GDPR). If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Our lawful bases for processing are performance of a contract (delivering the analysis you paid for) and legitimate interests (site analytics, fraud prevention).

California (CCPA / CPRA).If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@salarycheck.ai. We will verify your request using the Stripe session ID or other information you provide and respond within the time required by applicable law.

Cookie usage

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure site traffic. GA4 sets cookies on your device. For visitors in the EU, UK, and EEA, analytics cookies load only after you accept them in the cookie banner that appears on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data for this domain; the banner will reappear on your next visit.

We may also load advertising pixels (Meta, Google Ads, Reddit, TikTok) when those campaigns are active; the same consent rules apply to those cookies.

Verified access or deletion requests under applicable privacy law may be submitted by email to hello@salarycheck.ai.
